Types of standard gears

Standard control

Standard gears for standard control (MCG) are only used for testing the staining marks and backlash of standard gears (MG). This standard gear is named "golden wheel" or "head wheel".

Non-working standard gear

This standard gear is named "Silver Wheel". Standard gear (MG) is a "non-working" standard gear, which is only used for testing the staining marks and backlash on the tooth surface of standard gear (IG).

Standard gear for inspection

Standard Gear for Inspection (IG) is a "working" standard gear and is used only for the inspection of tooth surface staining marks and backlash of parts produced.

Standard Gear Marking

All standard gears should be marked by vibration etching method for tooling number, sequence number, part number, optimum development stage, same set of sequence number, installation distance relative to standard control standard gears (MCG) to distribute backlash. All standard gears should have the following color markers:

Standard control gear - blue; standard gear - red; standard gear for inspection - yellow.
